Providing emergency services to the community since 1936, our fire district covers over 70 square miles which includes the Town of Richmond, Hamlet of Honeoye and the Town Of Canadice. We answer between 500 - 600 calls a year and proudly provide rural and residential fire protection, EMS advanced life support services with 2 ambulances, water rescue and much more. Our services are also utilized by our surrounding communities when needed. We provide non-emergency services which include fire prevention training for the school and other community groups, CPR and first aid training, blood pressure screenings, public service calls and community fire/rescue demonstrations. The Richmond Fire Department is also home to Explorer Post 14, a small group of dedicated teens, who serve along side adults on fire scenes and also learning the fundamentals of Fire and EMS operations.
